4 more finals until I'm officially halfway though college.
Weird.
I get to come home on Tuesday morning! I'm taking a bus at 4 a.m. actually, because I need to be in Chicago for an internship meeting at noon. Fun, right?
Then, back to school on Friday to pick up my belongings and hangout with the boyfriend's fam before his graduation on Saturday.
THEN, I officially start my internship on Monday, along with work.
It's gonna be a crazy busy summer, but I couldn't be more excited. I get to go to the Pi Phi convention in Arizona during July, which should be great, though I'm nervous about flying and being alone for four days. I also get to go to Country Thunder with 99.5. I know, I'll be working, but it will still be fun. My mom also got Cubs tickets for August. I haven't been to a Cubs game since I was like, 12 years old. AND, of course, I have a house full of best friends in Peoria that I can run away to when I need to have some fun, especially during Greeeek Weeeeekend.
And of course, the thing I am looking forward to the most is seeing all my friends from home. I've missed you all so much.

I've never been one to dwell on the little things. That is, unless the little things were part of one really BIG thing. But even then, I usually like to look at the big picture...everything is great, I've got a good life, great friends, supportive family...blah, blah, blah.
But man, am I sick of everything right now. I need it to be summer. Now.
I got an promotions internship this summer at U.S. 99.5 and I'm pumped. But I still have five weeks left of school. I want to be done with the meetings, the lack of sleep, the dependency on coffee to get me through the day. It might be my fault...I probably shouldn't have taken on so much. I think I expected too much from myself. I just want a break.
And you know what's funny?
As soon as it is over, I'm going to miss it.

it's about time i had a good day!
#1. dinner with dr. modiano and his wife - he's basically taking me, ellie and hillary out to eat, because we show up everyday to class and laugh at his jokes. i really do love the guy! and obviously he loves us pi-phis!
= free meal and a good reference for resumes!
#2. aced my psychology exam - i only studied for hours and hours and if i pull of an A and the test and go to the extra credit session, then I'll be able to pull of a B and that, combined with hopefully all A's, will almost guarantee a spot on the deans list!
= $100 for every A and a better GPA!
#3. paycheck - yeah, didn't know i had two waiting for me in the office. that's 70 bucks for the rest of the year. which is 2 weeks. now what should i do with it?!
= i don't have to worry about buying booze when i'm done with finals!
#4. goodie basket - my mommy sent me a 'brain food' basket that i get to pick up on saturday. yayyyy!
=free, yummy food! (and proof that my mommy cares about me!)
anyways, it's been a good day so far
and hopefully it will continue!!

back at schooool
but only for another three and a half weeks!
i love it here with all my heart
but i can't wait to get away from all the school work
and, after 2 grueling hours sitting at cheeseburger in paradise
I GOT THE JOB!
i had to take a 30-min assessment quiz to see if i was qualified
and go through two interviews with the owners
but it was worth it
cuz now i get to be a freakin parrothead!
and it seeems so much better than bennigans
and a lot more fun!
i get to wear jeans and hawiian clothes
and i only have to handle three tables at a time
compared to handling six at bennigans
and it's SO much busier
so i know i'll be mkaing some mad mula
and it looks like such a fun place to work!
anyways, back to school
i need these weeks to be over
i need to clean my room
i need to unpack
i need to shower
i need to do laundry
i need to read for english
i need to get out of here!

god, it is absolutely beautiful outside!
i know, i keep on going on and on about it
but i love it so much!
yesterday, we had dinner on the quad again
though i felt like complete crap
i'm sick, but in that head cold kind of way
you would think with sprin basically here
that all the sneezing and sniffling and coughing would go away
but noooooo!
on another note, i'm coming home thursday night
and i'm planning on taking it easy
so if anyone is gonna be home for the weekend
gimme a call
or anyone that IS home
(brendan, mallory, megan, alex, whoever!)
gimme a call and we'll go get a cup of coffee
or see a movie or something
:)
i can't wait to see you guys
and i'm even more excited that school is over in less than a month
and i can spend the summer at home!

i just can't get over just how beautiful it is outside
i couldn't walk through the quad without having to dodge frisbees
and jump over sunbathers
and i was going to go work out
until my wonderful boyfriend convinced me to go over to the house instead
'you can get your exercise jumping on the trampoline'
(imagine it in a deep, dumb jock voice)
so, i guess i'm gonna start my friday night early
and have a couple of beers and throw some bags
and enjoy the weather
how comes the sunshine
makes me feel
like all my problems
have dissappeeared!?

Good-Bradley is in the Sweet Sixteen! Fuck yah!!
Bad-I'm missing the game on Thursday because I have to work
Good-I have some new clothes and a tan! (I know, can you believe it?)
Bad-The clothes are dirty and I don't have time to wash them AND I am peeling
Good-My boyfriend is absolutly amazing and took me to Olive Garden last night
Bad-I have to fit into my semi-formal dress in 2 weeks
Good-I got an interview at Cheeseburger in Paradise!
Bad-There is no way I can get back for it

seriously, it's snowing outside!
what the hell?
i want to go back to florida
and lie on the beach all day and drink pina coladas
i miss florida and the warm weather
i think it might have been one of my favorite vacations ever
we got to see dolphins on wave runners
go to a boston red sox game
eat AWESOME food
go to the shrimp festival
it was great
then i came back and it was cold
but i got to see brett
we went out to eat, hit up the batting cages
played the bowling game in my basement for an hour
(for all of you guys who don't know, i got this awesome bowling game you NEED to play!)
and yesterday i did some job hunting
and got sick
it sucked
so i just watched tv for the rest of the day
but im better now
so, gimme a call and we'll hang out!

i can't believe how grown up i am
by the way, i've changed my major
i am now a public relations major
which me and andy have decided means that
i'm just plain evil
but at least i'll be able to choose where i live
and still be able to find a job
instead moving wherever they need me
i watched the road to perdition last night
and ate tuna with the boy
and i realized that it wasn't a very good movie
ice harvest wasn't a good movie either
why are all the crappy movies filmed by us?
but a the green mile
now, THAT was a good movie
a little long, maybe 3 hours
i cried for 2 of them
they should of filmed that by us
my english teacher is absolutly nuts
and made us guess what he was thinking all hour
while he 'sucked a mint'
what an effin weirdo
by the way, we never figured it out
i'm going to florida over spring break
well, for the first half of it
i'm so pumped
i need to lie on a warm sunny beach
but it is beautiful today
bretts picking me up in 15 minutes
we're gonna go hang at lower bradley park
and dodge the frisbee golfers
and play on the swings
because it's free and fun
